2008 Entrepreneur of the Year Award
On October 17, 2008 Gregory Bender, CEO and president of K12 Alerts received the 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year Award
from the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce. Yonkers City Council President, Chuck Lesnick presented Mr. Bender
with the award citing his personal contributions to the community and his breakthrough K12 Alerts® Emergency Notification Technology.
"I am honored and delighted to receive this award, I accept it on behalf of my teams which this award would not be possible without their
contributions and support over the years,” said Gregory Bender. Marc Jaffe, CEO of the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce discussed
K12 Alerts rapid expansion in New York and many other states. K12 Alerts was started by Mr. Bender after the aftermath of 9/11, he searched to
find a better way for large groups to communicate in a crisis situation via electronic messaging and voice communications.
